読書会は経験ないです。元来本は読まないので。。。
Will Rogersの言葉 "A man only learns in two ways, one by reading and the other by association with smarter people."が(5)で出て来ました。
人生の何かを読書から学ぶ機会を逃してきたのかもしれません。
Will Rogersというと、先生の近著「アメリカ人の「ココロ」を理解するための教養としての英語」の本の帯にも登場しているので皆さんおなじみですね。
賢い人たちとのつきあいも先生の近著「成長したければ、自分より頭のいい人とつきあいなさい グローバル人材になるための９９のアドバイス」でおなじみですね。
ところで、(4)に I can see how a book club could also nurture leadership and public speaking skills in the workforce.とあります。（読書会は）従業員のリーダーシップと人前で話すスキルを育むことができる。
これはToastmastersと同じ目的ではないですか。杉田先生、ぜひ今年度はビニエットでToastmastersを取り上げてください。
Toastmastersって何？という方、これはアメリカにあるNPO Toastmasters Internationalが主催するPublic Speakingの団体で、全世界に30万人の会員がおり（私もその一人）、特にアメリカでは職場や地域にクラブが多数あります。
職場内にあるクラブという点ではビニエットのBook clubと似ているのかもしれません。
