L24(2)のoverstretch oneselfのヘザーさんの解説で、Do more than we're capable of, like we're reaching too far into a stretch. とあるのですが(stl52ブログより）、
reaching too far into a stretchがわかりません。
このstretchの意味はランダムハウスでは
「（事が）無理なこと、能力を超えること」
とあるため、
「能力を超える遠過ぎる所まで達しようとする」
という意味でしょうか。

有能なマネージャーは、物事をいつも大局的に見ているのです。
とあります。
このeffective managerが「有能なマネージャー」となっているのが気になっていたのですが、横山カズさんのtweetに答えがありました。

根本的な問題解決としての効果。
はっきりよい結果を出す。
結果を重視。
結果を重視するマネージャー、というわけですね。
一応辞書も引いておきます。

In L24 (5), There is a sentense of "They make a point of being open-minded and willing to admit that they're not always right."
The Japanese translation is 「偏見を持たないこと」、そして自分がいつも正しいとは限らないと進んで認めること」を忘れないようにしていますね。
I want to talk about the usage of "be willing to" in this sentense.
I know that "be willing to" does not mean 「喜んで～する」. It means "if I am asked, I will happily do."

Now, look at the Japanese translation in the textbook. "Be willing to admit" is being translated as 「進んで認める」。

On the very bottom line in L24 (5), there is a sentense of "that's what I'm here for." And the Japanese translation is そのために私がいるのですよ。
I found this intersting because I would make sentense like "that's why I'm here." from this Japanese sentense.
I know the sentense like "that's what I thought." But "that's what I'm here for" was new to me.
So I googled and found below website that well explains this expressin.
