ビジ英のトピックに関連することが、その放送時期に現実世界で実際に起こること ーここでは杉田マジックと呼びますー が立て続けに起きました。
The Independentがfacebookでシェアした動画ですが、Heads Up!そのものの風景がコミカルに描かれていると思ったら衝撃のラストシーン（とても衝撃的なので心臓の悪い方や、お子様の視聴はご注意ください）。
facebookの投稿には、Don't text and drive, we can't even text and walk とメッセージがあり、運転中の携帯の操作の危険性を訴える啓発ビデオのようです。
次に、ハワイのテレビ局のサイトですが、携帯デバイスを見ながら横断歩道を渡ると罰金になる条例ができたそうです。これもdistracted walkingをやめさせるためですね。

BBCでも杉田マジックが起きていたようです。
Heads Up!(3)で出た、Echo Chamberが8月1日のThe English We Speak に取り上げられています。
Echo Chamberは共鳴室ということで、自分の声しか聞こえないことより、ソーシャルメディアで自分の好きな意見にしか触れない、自分と違う意見を聞かないという意味で、ソーシャルメディアを批判的にいう時に使われる言葉として最近使われているとのことです。ビニエットでの使われ方がまさにそれではないですか。放送ではこの解説がなかったですね。
これらの杉田マジックは、ビジ英のトピックの先見性を示しているとも言えますが、我々が "Heads Up"に対してビットが立っているので、自然と見つけてしまうということかもしれません。
