先日、LINE株式会社 上級執行役員の田端信太郎さんの講演を聞いたのですが、Eメールはマーケティングツールとしては時代遅れだそうです。
現代のユーザは広告のEメールなどは読まなくて、皆、スマホで、それもブラウザではなく、アプリだそうです。
LINEはよく使われるアプリの1つなので、マーケティングプラットフォームとして使われていると話が続きました。
確かに、Eメールはすでに個人間のコミュケーションでほぼ使われなくなりました。
ただ、ビジ英の次のレッスンは、メールのエチケット、ということで仕事ではまだメールは使われそうです。
ところで、メルマガというメディアはどうなのでしょうね。
本メルマガも10年ほどになりますが、最近、購読ユーザ数が減ってきているんですよね。
原因はEメールそのものが古くなってきたことですか? それとも。。
まぐまぐの無料メルマガはこの10年という間、機能追加が何もないのです。普通のネットのサービスは機能追加があるものです。Eメールというシステムの限界、ということなのかもしれません。
逆に、数年前から強制的に広告が入り、広告を外したいなら有料プランに加入する必要がある始末です。
Eメール、終わっているのかもしれません。
さて、難訳・和英口語辞典 を読んでいます。
松本道弘先生による最新の辞書であり、英語に訳しにくい言葉について解説してあります。この本は辞書というよりも読みものです。ネイティブの発音にもかなり触れられているのが異色です。
いくつかご紹介。これらが、なぜこういう英語になるのかという解説が丁寧に書かれてあります。
