以前、お風呂スピーカーという物を持っていて、MDプレーヤーで英語を
聞いていました。そのお風呂スピーカーも使わなくなり処分していまいました。

最近、iPhoneをジップロックに入れてお風呂で聞いている人がいることを
知り、やってみましたら結構聞けました。

お風呂は反響がいいです。
ただシャワーを使っているときは音はかき消されます。

ご機嫌に聞いていたら長風呂になってしまい、スカイトークの時間に遅れて
しまいました。。あわてて裸でスカイプのコールを受ける始末。


ジップロックでは不安という場合は、この製品あたりが安くて良さそうです。

ジップロックの場合は、iPhoneの操作ができますが、こういう入れ物に入れると
外から操作ができないのは難点です。

そういえば以前に、このメルマガでクラシックがいいという事を書きましたね。

すこし構文で悩んだのですが、このallowは「<人に><時間やお金を>与える」
という意味ですね。

allow + 目 + 目

ex) He allows his son 30 pounds a month.

get one's paycheck docked, 給料を差し引かれる
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
If you dock someone's wages or money, you take some of the money away.
If you dock someone points in a contest, you take away some of the points
that they have.

ex) He threatens to dock her fee.

be proud ofとの違いは何でしょうか? 杉田先生は言い換えることができると
放送でおっしゃっていましたが。

be proud ofは「特定なもの、そのとき起きたこと」に使うそうです。

I'm proud of you. 
は、確かに習慣ではないですね。

pride oneself onで 「...を誇りに思う」という意味もあります。
