ビジ英を題材とするmeetupに参加し、計3時間英語を日本人と話してきました。レベルの高い会だったので楽しかったです。
Capture Streamをお使いの方は、先週ダウンロードできなくなったため、困っている方も多いかと思います。対処法がネットで見つかったため、とりあえずダウンロードはできるようになって一安心です。
ただ、Capture Stream自身のダウンロードは現在できなくなっているため、新たに使い始めることはできません。
今週の音読。朝の音読時間が30分に満たなくなってきています。夜はできているのですが、、。

family businessは、家業という意味ですが、今回のビニエットでは、家の用事、という意味で使われています。紛らわしいですね。
★celebrated, 著名な

treatは「ごちそう」でもあります。

By that I don't mean just handing down moral strictures, but leading by example.
この表現は、

strictures, 非難、批評、酷評
にdissectされます。

(2)で、It was the first time any of us had seen a chef direct a big fish like that.で、had seenになっている理由は、see 何々 dissectと動詞の原形になっているので、最初から最後まで見たということになり、動作が完了しているため過去完了になっているということで、よいですね。
