このprofessionalsは専門職という訳語にテキストではなっています。専門職とはなんでしょうか。元々は医者や弁護士などの特殊技能を持つ職業、ひいては、専門的な訓練が必要な職業、などが考えられます。
レイオフされるを恐れて長期休暇が取りにくいはこういった「専門職」に限らず、広く一般の会社員と思いますので、専門職という訳語は適切ではないと思うのです。気になって音読していても頭に入ってきません。
音読と言えば、今週はやや低調でした。記録を見ても、飲み会で酔って音読をする気力がわかなかったり、Amazon Videoで映画を見たりしています。ちなみに音読の時間の記録をつけるというのはおすすめです。
ビジ英を音読をする際に気づいたことは、Listening Challengeは実際的なビジネス英語になっていて使えるということです。
こう言ってはあれですが、ビニエットの英語はやや現実離れした会話であり、こんな会話はしないよねーと思いますが、Listening Challengeは違います。内容はつまらないですが、これこそビジネスの場で使っておかしくない感じの英語です。これもListening Challengeを音読しはじめて気づけたことです。
