米国赴任88週目が終了。
あけましておめでとうございます。
ベイエリアの今日の最高気温は12度と寒いです。来週は20度まで上がるようです。
CNNのAnderson Cooperの大晦日特番を見ていたら、まずニューヨークが新年を迎え、一時間後にニューオーリンズが新年を迎え、という具合に、時差の関係で一時間おきには東から西に新年を迎えました。なので番組が長い！
網膜剥離の手術から4週間経ちました。右目のガスも半分は抜けたようで、上半分は見えるようになってきました。残りの半分が抜けるのにあと一ヶ月かかるのでしょう。うつぶせ寝には慣れました。。
手術以降の一ヶ月、外を出歩くことも少なくなり、体重が増えてしまったようです。記録を見るとアメリカに来てから一年半で4キロは増えています。
ということで、この数日は隣町まで一時間歩いて、新しいレストランを開拓しランチを食べ、帰りは列車で帰るということをしております。来週から仕事が始まると、歩く時間の確保は難しくなりそうですが。
