米国赴任86週目が終了。

さて、網膜剥離の手術から二週間が経ちました。本来は日帰りのところを手術後一泊入院し、その後はwork from homeの日々です。手術をした方の眼は光は感じますが、ピントはぼけまくりです。
眼の中にgas bubbleを入れて、はがれた網膜を押さえつけるという手術でして、gasが抜けるまで二ヶ月はかかるとのことです。それまでは見えないのでしょう。
ガスが抜けるまで、飛行機禁止、2000フィート以上の高地も禁止です。気圧の関係で眼中のgasによくない影響があるとのことです。
あと、夜は仰向け寝が二ヶ月間禁止というのがつらいですね。うつぶせ寝に慣れないといけません。
さて、
手術の前の日、病院から電話があり、事前に健康状態についてのインタビューをされました。これが医学用語のオンパレード！
ツバクロシスは経験あるか？ とか、（結核ね）
意味のわからない病気（スペルを言ってもらって辞書で確認）の経験はとか、
HIVはとか、最近、西アフリカに行ったかとか（エボラね）、
そういう質問が30分くらい続きました。
（通訳サービスもあるようですが、英語で挑戦しました）

手術一時間前にも、もう一回同じことをベッドに寝かされたまま再確認され、
このときは辞書が手元になかったから、返答がいい加減な場合も。。。
病院ネタは次回も続く、かも。
