先日、ハースト城に行きました。ここはアメリカの新聞王ハーストの豪邸なのですが、この城のことを初めて知ったのは、ずっと昔に放送されたNHKテレビ3か月英会話シリーズのアメリカ西海岸を旅する番組でした。
その番組では落語家のビルクラウリーさんが毎回、西海岸の観光スポットを紹介していました。ハースト城のほかにも、ミステリースポットと呼ばれる重力がおかしなことになっている家（サンタクルーズにあるが、まだ行っていない）や、幽霊屋敷で有名なウィンチェスター ミステリー ハウス（サンノゼにあるが、まだ行っていない）が紹介されたことを覚えています。
他にどんな場所が紹介されているかを知りたいと思い、ネットで調べてみました。番組名はおそらく1998年に放送された「ビルくん西海岸を行く」だと思うのですが、それ以上の情報は見つからず、テキストも入手できないようです。
当時のテキストをお持ちの方がいらっしゃれば、どんな場所が紹介されているか教えてください。お願いします。

映画 Frozenを見ました。そう、アナと雪の女王です。驚いたことに、登場人物のアナのスペルがAnnaなのですね。Anaではなくて。Annaでアナと発音するのですね。nが一つ脱落したのでしょうか。
thが脱落するというのになかなか慣れません。If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. ということわざにも使われているように、 'em が them の縮約形で使われます。このことわざの発音ではthは脱落しているのだと思います。
このような縮約表記に慣れていれば、thの脱落にも慣れていたことでしょう。
今回はビニエットをディクテーションしました。ビジ英のビニエットはプロのナレーターさんがクリアに発音しているとはいえ、完全には書き取れません。知らない単語は聞き取れませんね。
