米国赴任41週目が終了。
先週末は日本は記録的大雪というニュースを見ましたが、ここカルフォルニアもついに雨期に入りまして、先週は雨の日が続いています。
昨日もハイキングの予定でしたが雨のためキャンセルしたところ、雨もがやみました。こういうものですね。

ソチオリンピックが始まりました。こちらで契約している有料放送のテレビジャパンでは放送権の関係でオリンピックの番組が二日遅れのダイジェスト番組しか流れないそうです。
以前より、ふつうのNHKのニュース番組でも、スポーツ関係の動画はカットされ静止画になることが多かったのですが、オリンピックも見られないとは。
しょうがないのでアメリカのテレビ局で見ました。そこでいくつかの発見が。
まず地元アメリカの選手紹介では、出身州も紹介するのです。Reno, Nevada出身などと紹介されると、知っている!という気分になるのです。
日本人選手は出ませんね。スノボのスロープスタイルの準決勝で角野選手が4位でしたが、画面には現れませんでした。
また、テレビ局がアメリカのNBCでありながら、カナダの選手にもアメリカの選手同様に、試合後のインタビューをするのです。こりは一体。。。 この放送がカナダにも放送されているのでしょうかね。

BBCを見ていたら、プレゼンターに日本人のMariko Oiさんが出ていました。プロフィールを見ると日本人の方のようです。。すごい!さっそくtwitterでフォローしました。
