Teenager's Life Lessons at Work(1)で、serverには優しく接するのが初めてのデートの心得という話がありました。日本でもserver に態度の大きい男性は女性から嫌われる第一位という調査もあるようです。
初めてのデートの心得を教えてもらうのはアメリカの伝統のようですが、私の周りでは聞いたことがありません。日本では親の知らないうちに初めてのデートは行われますし、デートというものの位置づけが日米では違うようです。アメリカのデートは、日本のお見合いのようなものなのかもしれません。
Teenager's Life Lessons at Work(3)(4)のサマーキャンプの話では、いろいろなことを試してみるとよいという教えがありました。先日TEDでSusan Cain氏がサマーキャンプで本を読みたかったのに意味の分からない活動をさせられたという The power of introverts という名のスピーチがありました。いろいろですね。
