在米25年だけあって、すごい英語！です。
有元さんによると、自宅にいながらにしての英語上達の秘訣は次の3つ。
- Get on Twitter, Facebook, G+, or Skype and start using English with native speakers.
- Look for people who like the same things you like.
- Have fun talking about the things or people you love!
英語でtwitterをもう一度やり始めたくなったりして。

★addictive 中毒になる、習慣性の
addictive personality で、病みつきになりやすい人間、ということですが、personalityにやや疑問があります。
辞書に、She had a sunny personality that was very engaging. と言う例文がありました。Someone has a personality という形は理解できます。
しかし、ビニエットのように、I'm not a workaholic or addictive personality. と、Someone is an addictive personality という形は馴染みがないです。しかし、これからは、馴染まなければいけません。
<追記情報>
辞書に[countable] a person whose strong character makes them noticeable
Their son is a real personality.
という例文がありました。

■その他にも、次も押さえておきたい。
eat up someone's time, （人）の時間を食う
draw up, ...を作成する、...を立案する
■そのほかの気になる表現
下から９行目に、I made a point of showing her examples of how fast technology is changing. とあり、make a point of が出てきました。
この意味は、ここでは、わざわざ...する、あえて...する、という意味なのでしょう。必ず...する、ではないですね。
ライオンズは妻にソーシャルメディアの重要性を何とか伝えようとがんばりましたが、妻の懸念は、家で仕事をしすぎているという点なのだと思います。ソーシャルメディアでも何でもいいのですが、家でパソコンに向かいっぱなしになっていること懸念しているのだと思います。
ですから、ソーシャルメディアの重要性を理解させることは的外れです。ランチアワーもなく働くアメリカ人は、自宅でも働かざるを得なくなっているのでしょうか。
Lesson 12 Losing Weightでは、朝起きたら体重が減っているとうれしいとか当たり前のことを言ったり、おかしなストーリーが最近は多いですね、ビジ英は。
