今日は会社で非常にぐったり感が強かったのです。思い当たるのは昨晩のジム。シェイプパンプというバーベルエキササイズで10月から新メニューになり、ハードさが増したのです。きっとあのせいだ。。。

2. 英語に関するあれこれ

会社の食堂の精算はプリペイドカードなのですが、先日、私の前の米国人が精算時にエラーになって困惑していたので、エラーメッセージを見ると「残高不足」。さて、彼になんと説明すればよいでしょうか。

私がとっさに出た言葉は、"Shortage."  

文章で言いたいところでしたが、これが限界。なんと言えばスマートなのでしょうね。スマートな言い方募集です。
