九州沖縄には台風が通過しようとしていますが、ここ関東地方は秋晴れとはいえないまでも運動会日よりです。職場の同僚も今日がお子さんの運動会で朝から席取りという方もいらっしゃいました。来週から10月ですし、すっかり秋モードに突入です。
ネタのないときの天気の話でした。

2. 英語に関するあれこれ
Skype英会話で「休みの日は何をしているか」という話題にたまになりますが、「メルマガを書いている」と言うのがなかなか伝わりません。mail magazineでは通じませんね。一度、話が伝わったかと思って無料でやっていると言うと「印刷はどうするのか」と聞いてきました。つまりmail magazine を「郵送する雑誌」と理解されたのでしょう。
では、e-mail magazineと言えばよいのでしょうか。それとも e-newsletter？ そもそも個人が楽しみのためにメルマガを発行するという文化が外国にあるのでしょうか。
