eリーディング英語学習法の紹介の続きです。
前回はKindleリーダーの話でした。
Kindleリーダーのいい点でいい忘れたことがあったので補足します。
それは、辞書が内蔵されているので、すぐ引けるということです。
Oxfordの英英辞典が最初から入っていますが、私は
別に英辞郎を購入してKindleに入れました。
完璧とはいえませんが、かなり快適に辞書を引くことができます。
さて、Chapter 6以降はコンテンツの話になります。
読む物は本に限らずインターネットにいろいろとあるわけで、
こんな物もリーディングに使えますよ、という話が続きます。
例えば、wikipedia、レシピ、パブリックドメインのもの、
英字新聞などです。
どんな分野を読むかは自分の興味によるのですが、
だれでも興味のある分野として、食べ物、が挙げられるのでは
ないかと思います。
先日、Youtubeで見つけたビデオですが、日本食の素晴らしさを
解説しています。
何を読んだら分からない人は食関係から入ってはいかがでしょうか。

If you go out on a limb, you do something risky or extreme,
which puts you in a position of weakness. If you are left
out on a limb or are on a limb, you are left in a position of
weakness without any help or support.
ex) It seems to me that you fear change and would prefer
to stay in your present situation even though it seems to be
tiresome, rather than go out on a limb and try something
completely new.

「食関連から入る」というおすすめに同感です。このYoutube videoは面白いですね。アメリカ人は日本人の３倍砂糖を摂取している、という話には「さもありなん」と納得しました。
本ではキンドルアプリを手持ちのPCやスマートフォンにダウンロードして電子ブックを読むeリーディングを提唱しました。Amazon.comのサイトに慣れない方だと、ダウンロードが面倒だったり、抵抗を感じる人もいるようです。でも思い切ってやってみると「こんなに簡単に、多種多様の本や無料サンプルが手に入るのか」と驚き感激する人が多いです。是非多くの方に試してもらいたいです。
