今日は平日でしたがビジ英勉強会に行きました。
夕方、東京で仕事でしたので、そのまま7時からの
勉強会に平日ながら出席できました。
今日は私がビジ英パートの担当だったので、
テキストのビニエットをからWords and Phrasesと
Word Watchに取り上げられている表現を穴埋め問題にした
ものを用意しました。
右ページの日本語訳を見ながらの穴埋めですが、
作成者の私も多くを間違えてしまいました。
特に今日のビニエットの最後のヒューズさんの発言は
穴だらけになり、難しかったです。
そんな中、ほぼ満点を取るメンバがいらっしゃいました。
その要因はそのメンバが若いということでは決してなく、
勉強法にあったので、ご本人了解の元、シェアします。
そのメンバは自分でビニエットを読んで録音し、
放送の音声と比較して、なるべく同じになるように
録音を繰り返しているのだそうです。
それもなんと10回も！
いったい、何時間かかる訓練なのでしょう。
気が遠くなりそうですが、おかげでこのメンバは
ビジ英に出てくる表現ならほとんど頭に入っている
状態になっているのです。
一度やってみましょうかね。

harsh realities of an unforgiving economy.
