土日の習慣は近所の図書館に行き、Webで予約していた本を
借り、読めなかった本を返し、近くの喫茶店で借りた本を
読む、というものです。
1回で10冊まで借りられるので、「今日返却された本」の棚
から目についた物を何冊か借りますが、たいてい読む時間は
なく、そのまま翌週には返却となります。
それではよくないと思い、今日は2冊をざら読みしました。
各段落の一行目のみにざっと目を通すという、よく英文の
速読方法としてよく聞く方法をとりました。今日読んだ本は
日本語ですが、わりと構成がしっかりしていたせいか、
概略はわかったような気がしています。

もう一言付け加える表現です。
なぜ感謝しているのかの理由が来ると良いですね。

ともいうと、放送で言っていました。
ここはknowで代用もできるのでしょう。

justを入れると「たいした意味はないのだけれど」という
ニュアンスが生まれますね。
I just wanted to know... ちょっと知りたかっただけなんです
も使いたい表現です。
