You say what with in order to introduce the reasons for a
particular situation, especially an undesirable one.

ex) Maybe they are tired, what with all the sleep they're
losing staying up night after night.

If someone keeps tabs on you, they make sure that they always
know where you are and what you are doing, often in order to
control you. [INFORMAL]

ex) It was obvious Hill had come over to keep tabs on Johnson
and make sure he didn't do anything drastic.

corporate cog, 大機構の中で小さい役割を演ずる人、歯車の歯 
If you describe someone as a cog in a machine or wheel, you
mean that they are a small part of a large organization
or group.

ex) Mr Lake was an important cog in the Republican campaign

A cure for an illness is a medicine or other treatment
that cures the illness.

ex) There is still no cure for a cold.

can-do, やる気のある、意欲満々の 
If you say that someone has a can-do attitude, you approve
of them because they are confident and willing to deal with
problem or new tasks, rather than complaining or giving up.

ex) He is known for his optimistic can-do attitude.
