お箸感覚のためか、中は居酒屋状態で、非常にうるさく、

での意味ですが、すでに2社はmergeしている上で、
consolidateするということですから、ここは合併するではなく、
実質的な意味で統合する（そしてスリムにする）という意味
でしょうねぇ。
