前回、ニューヨークからやってきた30歳男性の話をしましたが、
この人の言うことを鵜呑みにしているわけではありませんし、
すべきでもありません。

サンプルの一つということで紹介していますので、違うネイティブ
は違うことを言うかもしれないことはご承知おき願います。


さて、このたびまた書評を書きました。
「笑われ力」という本です。

人間関係に苦労している方は、意図的に笑われることにより
関係を改善することができます。非常に使えるテクニックなので
ぜひ読んでみてはいかがでしょうか。

■意味を考えてみよう。今日取り上げる単語が含まれています。

Smart companies are becoming very aware that it's easy for bad publicity
to spread like wildfire, especially in the Internet age.

They'll go to great lengths to nip that kind of thing in the bud.

These days companies have to be on guard against so-called consumer
vigilantes who know how to bypass regular service channels when
service is slow or inadequate.

They can send reams of complaining e-mail to top management or
flood them with phone calls.

the public's attention to someone or something.
