If you say that something is a double-edged sword or a two-edged sword,
you mean that it has negative effects as well as postive effects.
two-edged = double-edgedです。辞書にはdouble-edgedで載っていました。
If you say that something is double-edged, you mean that its positive
effects are balanced by its negative effects, or that its negative effects
are greater.
ex) But tourism is double-edged, for although it's boosting the country's
economy, the Reef could be damaged.
