Fostering Creativity (6) 6/13 2008

http://www.mag2.com/m/0000038545.html

According to the stereotype, creative people are showboaters.

Still, oddballs or not, champion creatives aren't necessarily
the best or the brightest.

They just pull it apart.

In competitive markets creativity is the greatest asset
there is to keeping your head above water.

And that's because the creativity workshops got the ball
rolling.

<informal>, chiefly N. Amer.   show off

ex) a lot of showboating politicians.

──────────────────────────────
──────────────────────────────
Fostering Creativity (2)より

If you refer to someone as an oddball, you think they
behave in a strange way. [INFORMAL]

ex) His mother and father thought Jim was a bit of
an oddball too.

──────────────────────────────
pull apart, ...

Fostering Creativity (3)

ex) Her husband's philandering is pulling her apart.

Fostering Creativity (3)より

If you keep your head above water, you just avoid getting
into difficulties; used especially to talk about business.

ex) We are keeping our head above water, but our cash flow
position is not too good.

──────────────────────────────
get the ball rolling,
──────────────────────────────
Fostering Creativity (4)より

If you set the ball rolling or start the ball rolling, you
start an activity or you do something which other people
