1.身の回りのこと
最近、mac 17inchの調子が悪く、文字入力にとても時間がかかっていたのですが、AppleCareに電話して何とか元に戻りました。
最初はOSの上書きインストールをしたのですがだめでした。次にライブラリにあるcom.apple.JapaneseAnalysisというフォルダを削除することで何とか元の通りに文字入力ができるようになりました。
同じような症状の方はcom.apple.JapaneseAnalysisのキーワードでお調べください。
実はもう一つ、文字入力中にカーソルが違う行に飛んでいくという困った問題もあるのですが、明日にでもAppleCareに電話してみます。

2. 英語に関するあれこれ
先日、Vital Englishにまた参加してきました。この回はボキャブラリについてで、英語の成り立ちを学びました。ラテン語が英語に多く入っているということでした。
練習問題として、vise versa, de facto, status quo, per se, ad hoc, bona fide, alma mater, quasi, alias, a prioriなどがありました。これらの多くはビジ英で出てきたものです。
同じグループの人はこれらの単語を知らない人が多かったです。やはりビジ英はボキャブラリ増強には最高の教材ですね。
