リスナーの集いの話です。
今回も全国から熱心なリスナーが集まっていました。
なぜか私が乾杯の挨拶をすることに。。。
新アシスタントのヘザーハワードさんと英語でお話をし、
サインをいただきました。アラスカには訛りはないそうです。
入門ビジネス英語の関谷英里子先生にもサインをいただきました。
かつてNHKテレビで番組をやられていた藤井正嗣先生も
おられたので、「NHKで、ねばならぬ症候群、見てました」
と挨拶したところ、スルーされたので、あれ？と思ったのですが、
後で考えると、ねばならぬ症候群は別の先生でした（滝汗）。
藤井正嗣先生は、リチャードシーハンさんと、英語で学ぶMBA
という番組の講師をされていたのでした。
藤井先生との話の中で、今の私の仕事に関連する特集が
Harvard Business Review(米国版)にあると紹介されたので
一冊通販で買ってしまいました。3000円もするのですね。
高いですね。今日届きましたが、積読にならないようにしないと。
杉田先生は、クリスさん、ヘザーさんとのトークセッションで
語彙にまつわるマニアックなお話などをされてました。

What I find more irksome is modern young people's lack

really has a lot to answer for when it comes to instilling
basic language skills.
