フィリピン人と会話するのですが、馬鹿にしてはいけません。
十分スピーキングの訓練になりそうです。
普段、英語を話す機会がないという人にはずばりオススメです。
今日話した中で、たんぱく質のことをプロテインと発音した
ところ、プロティーンと向こうの人が発音するので、
フィリピン人はこれだからいけない、などと思ったのですが、
後で辞書を引いてみると、プロティーンが正解でした。アワワ。。。
お金を払って入会しようと思います。

I might sound like an old fuddy-duddy when I say this, but
one thing I notice about members of Generation Y is that
they tend to lack respect for older people or those in
positions of authority.
I think it's because members of Generation Y have grown up
with much more horizontal, egalitarian relationships and
aren't as used to hierarchy as previous generation.
Another way the generation gap has reasserted itself -
although not in a confrontational way - is through technology.
My daughter Rebecca takes to gizmos and computer applications
like a duck to water, leaving me floundering in her wake.

If you describe someone as a fuddy-duddy, you are
criticizing or making fun of them because they are
old-fashioned in their appearance or attitudes. [OLD-FASHIONED]
fuddy-duddyはold-fashionedという意味だけれど、この言葉
自体がold-fashionedということ。
ex) He didn't want all those old fuddy-duddies around.

Egalitarian means supporting or following the idea that
all people are equal and should have the same rights and
opportunities.

と覚えたほうがよさそう。
