Fitness is one of the requirements to keep up a good head of steam
as you grow older.
I've warded off sales pitches, but in my mind I'm still deciding
what kind of club is the best bet for me.
I'm looking around for a club that will meet my wants and needs
with good guidance, and I don't mean some macho trainer who
flexes his biceps and blow a whistle.
Exercise pays extra dividends for senior citizens.

Disinfectant is a substance that kills germs. It is used, for example,
for cleaning kitchens and bathrooms.
ex) Salt is a natural disinfectant.

If someone builds up a head of steam, they gradually become more
and more angry, anxious, or emotional about something until they can
no longer hide their feelings.
If someone gets a head of steam for something such as a plan or cause,
they gain a lot of support for it.
[NOTE] A steam engine cna only work when the steam has reached a
particular pressure level.

To ward off something unpleasant or dangerous means to prevent it
from affecting you or harming you.
ex) before anti-aircraft equipment arrived to ward off further attacks,

If you flex your muscles or parts of your body, you bend, move, or
dtretch them for a short time in order to exercise them.

If something pays dividends, it brings advantages at a later date.
ex) Steps taken now to maximise your health will pay dividends
